"I voted in favour of the joint motion for a resolution on the 13th session of the UN Human Rights Council. The new institutional structure of the EU offers a unique opportunity to increase the coherence, visibility and credibility of the EU within the UN Human Rights Council. The activities of the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy will also help to enhance the EU’s ability to cooperate with countries from other regional blocs, with a view to stopping human rights violations, including violence directed specifically against women and children."@en1
