Consequently, the agreement has been suspended, and no data is being transferred. The Commission does, however, have a new mandate to negotiate. The question that I would like to put to the Presidency of the European Parliament – not to you, but to the actual Presidency – is whether we have an interlocutor, whether the United States is negotiating with the European Union following the collapse, or whether it is negotiating case by case on a bilateral basis with certain Member States.
