"The fact that the summit in Copenhagen is generally described as a ‘deplorable failure’ of an attempt to reach a global agreement on limiting the greenhouse emissions which are heating up the Earth’s climate only serves to highlight the total lack of coordination among EU Member States with regard to the US and the emerging countries. The Copenhagen agreement does not even set a target in terms of an acceptable limit for the global temperature increase. However, I am hoping for a positive outcome and a strong European voice on limiting the effects of climate change at the meeting which will take place in February of next year, when the world’s nations are called to present their plans on how they intend to cut emissions by 2020."@en1
