"Madam President, Commissioner, I do not think that the compromise is good enough where the rights of citizens are concerned. I am concerned that the French culture minister still believes that it ought to be possible to shut off access to the Internet administratively after ‘three strikes’. Consequently, I and a number of my colleagues have re-tabled an amendment that has already been voted for once by this Parliament. However, it is not possible to vote on it as the votes are tabled at present, since we must vote on the compromise first. I am therefore asking my fellow Members to change the order of the votes so that we can vote on citizens’ amendments before we vote on the complete compromise text."@en1
