I have voted against this report which is one of many that are steeped in political correctness, if only because this proposal violates the EU’s principle of subsidiarity and involves a huge amount of red tape. Needless to say, I, too, am opposed to all forms of discrimination on the basis of disability, age or sexual orientation. This report, though, contains many recommendations that run counter to the most elementary principles of the rule of law. Indeed, discrimination is all of a sudden allowed when it concerns discrimination on the basis of political orientation. Then the principle of equality may as well be done away with completely. That is ridiculous."@en1
