"Madam President, I was saddened to hear the news concerning the outcome of the vote of no confidence in Prime Minister Topolánek in Prague last week. The Czech Republic has led the Union since 1 January, and I believe that its Presidency has proved very successful to date. I trust this success will be maintained during the remaining three months. I am keeping my fingers crossed for our Czech friends and for all the projects the Czech Presidency hopes to implement. The latter include the very important matter of the Eastern neighbourhood policy and measures relating to Europe’s energy security."@en1
