lpv:translated text	"Madam President, the fact that EU citizens have to migrate in order to find work, the fact that they have to be mobile because there is no work to be found where they live, and the poverty associated with being out of work, often mean that children are less well cared for, and sometimes even neglected. The developing economic crisis threatens to cause a serious rise in unemployment levels. This may lead to an increase in the problem of street children. Such children lack suitable nutrition and health care, their education is interrupted and they sometimes come into contact with criminal elements. At a time of demographic collapse, this is not only squandering the development opportunities of individual children, but also poses a social threat for the next generation.
