I believe that the wine industry is very important for the EU economy, since a number of countries, including Italy, France and Spain, rank among the world’s leading wine producers and export their celebrated products all over the world. I therefore welcome the proposal to lay down clear rules for the definition of the aforesaid categories of wine-based products, so that the high quality of European produce may always be recognised and identified."@en1
