"− I voted to support the legislation as amended, both on this proposal to reduce emissions of CO
from cars and on the entire climate change package. This is an important step to ensure that Europe meets its targets to cut emissions by 20% by 2020 and will send a strong message to the rest of the world ahead of next year’s talks in Copenhagen that Europe means business.
We already have the technology to help us meet these targets and there can be no better example of this than the cutting-edge work being carried out at Loughborough University, in my own constituency, which is world-renowned for its development of green technologies and has recently unveiled a new hydrogen refuelling station, one of only two in the UK."@en1
