"My country, Latvia, has plenty of banks, and definitely insolvency could happen. I believe that we have rather an advanced market. But it happens under central bank supervision, and at least there was no turmoil whatsoever on the Latvian financial markets. Therefore, I can assure you that the Latvian financial market is very stable and there has been no perturbation. But it is very important to emphasise the role bank supervision should play and that all the conditions for this supervision are fulfilled by commercial banks.
