"Mr President, I would do almost anything to serve this Parliament, but even I have limits. I almost reached my limit yesterday evening when I put the Aarhus Convention debate ahead of asparagus consumption on the famous asparagus evening. I ‘deserted before dessert’, only to find the debate had been cancelled.
