It provides a clearer definition of the activities of lobbyists, of whom there are an estimated 15 000. I therefore support the initiative to establish a common register where lobbyists will be able to register just once to gain access to the European Parliament, the Commission and the Council. In addition, all lobbyists will thereby commit to observing a code of conduct.
