lpv:translated text	"Mr President, last year 25 countries in the European Union signed a joint stabilisation and association agreement between Albania and the European Union. Today, 16 months after that agreement was signed, only 10 countries have ratified the document. It is telling that, of this ten, six are new EU Member States: Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Lithuania and Latvia, and there are four countries from the old EU: Spain, Ireland, Sweden and Luxembourg. I would therefore like to call on the 17 remaining EU countries to ratify this agreement as soon as possible, unless we want the concept of European solidarity to be seen as empty platitudes or slogans."@en1
