"Yes, we are truly focusing on that. It was basically that philosophy – it is shared in the existing framework programme – but the truth is that we are now also focusing on the preparation of a strategic technology plan for Europe. It should be adopted by the Commission by the end of the year. In that, we are of course consulting practically everybody in this area in Europe.
So we have consulted all the technology platforms which already exist. We have had very open talks with them. They are, from bottom up, practically all included in our activities and we are trying to find a proper way of having this coordinated.
You properly said that it is also vital that we share in the best possible way, in an international way, on how to address these questions. But in that respect, there are two things: when you also try to address it from the private sector, you have to do it in a balanced way, before or between the cooperation and competitiveness, and that is exactly what we try to take into account."@en1
