"No, this is not at all the case. On the contrary, Europe is one of the world leaders in hydrogen technology. By placing more emphasis on the European technology platform, which is dealing with this question, we now have a strategic and coherent approach on how to proceed. All countries around the world are still dealing with major questions and this means putting current discoveries on the market, which would lead to a true hydrogen economy. However, I think we can be very proud of what we have achieved in the past and of how we are handling the issue at present. In addition, emphasising the potential joint technology initiative is exactly the right means to put us on the map and to keep us there."@en1
