I support the idea that Romania should be able to join the EU, but I do not believe at this point in time either that they are really ready for membership or that the Union is really ready to receive them. This is made marginally worse by their attitude to international adoptions. I realise that there is little to be done at this stage, but unfortunately feel my position will be vindicated by future events. Yet this is not a vote against free movement of EU citizens. When they join, as they will on 1 January, they should have the same rights as everyone else."@en1
