"Mr President, I feared that no one else would come out in favour. Allow me, then, to do so. Ladies and gentlemen, I believe that we are tackling this request in a totally constructive spirit. I should like to say that, in the human rights area and whatever the outcome of the vote to follow, we shall of course support all the amendments in favour of human rights. These are not, therefore, even at issue today. What we should like to remedy – and this is what Mrs Dobolyi wanted to emphasise – are factual errors, shortcomings and deficiencies that are still extant. We should also like to re-establish somewhat closer relations with the rapporteur. That is all."@en1
