All use of drugs, other than for medical purposes, is harmful and is something that society should have no truck with. With regard to the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction, we believe on principle that there is no justification for the centre’s existence, since the Member States each have such different views on, and policies towards, the fight against drug misuse. We have thus voted against the report on strengthening the role of the centre."@en1
