"We all hope that you will succeed in defending Europeans’ interests on this occasion.
At the close of this debate I have received six motions for a resolutionsubmitted pursuant to Rule 103(2) of the Rules of Procedure.
The debate is therefore closed.
The vote will take place on Thursday, 29 September, at 12 noon.
The sitting will now be suspended until the beginning of the vote. To those who may be asking why we are doing this rather earlier than usual, I will say that the Bureau has discussed how we might avoid the situation that always occurs at 12.00, 12.05 or 12.10 p.m., with the representatives of the Council of Ministers or the Commission having to talk rather over the noise of all the Members pouring into the Chamber for the vote. We have therefore agreed to experiment with closing the debate at 11.50 a.m., so that the debate can proceed without disturbance. It is for that reason that we now have a bit more time than usual."@en1
