Commissioner, you promised that you do not support procyclical reform in the Member States, the level of public debt that is taken on board and so on. How will you make sure that the Member States do not interpret the changes to the Stability and Growth Pact in a very broad way, or introduce reforms that will actually broaden the concept of what can be calculated as excessive deficits and deficit calculations? There is a serious threat that many Member States will try to avoid making those necessary reforms and will interpret these watered-down Stability and Growth Pact decisions in the wrong way. I would like the Commission to be very tough on this issue."@en1
