Neither is it for the Council to determine whether Turkey has acted in breach of its international obligations in this specific case. The Interpol alert issued pursuant to this decision is not based on an EU instrument or on an international instrument binding the European Union and Turkey. The matter raised by the honourable Member therefore seems to fall squarely within the domestic jurisdiction of the countries concerned, and it is therefore not for the Council to express itself on this matter."@en1
