"I wish to thank the President-in-Office for his response to this question and also for his earlier remarks. Under the Irish presidency, Minister Roche set up a working group in the Council to look for better ways in which to inform citizens of the benefits of Europe. There is a need for greater communication and understanding not only of what Europe does but also of the responsibility of its citizens to ensure we are as good as we can be. The only way to guarantee that is by involving the people more directly in open fora and in communication, etc. I would like the President-in-Office to reaffirm his commitment to continue this kind of process to find the best way of ensuring that people know exactly what we do and what we do not do at European level."@en1
