There may be a risk that the outbreak of the disease there is more serious and more widespread than in Thailand. I believe that to be the case. I must emphasise that we do not import any poultry from Vietnam, so there is no risk to public health. There is no risk to animal health from direct importation from Vietnam and therefore our concern in this relates to ensuring the containment of the spread of the disease in Asia itself as a matter of general interest, but it is not related to any further risk as a result of any importation of birds, because we do not engage in that kind of trade with Vietnam."@en1
