According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, five of the six international NGOs and four UN agencies operating in Aceh have been advised by the Indonesian Government to cease their activities for their own safety. It is the responsibility of the Indonesian Government to ensure the safety of its citizens and human rights workers on its territory.
