lpv:spoken text	"Mr President, could I just remind all the Members in this House that whilst we may have difficulties or disagreements with regard to procedures or undue interference directed against individual Members of the Commission or anybody else, the most important issue we are discussing here today is the livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of people involved in the fishing industry. These people want to ensure that they can continue in their role as fishermen feeding all the peoples of Europe and maintain strong, rural coastal communities. This bickering about procedures, individual issues or political issues does us no credit as a Parliament. We are supposed to represent the interests of the people within the European Union, not simply political blocs trying to score points. So let us listen to what Commissioner Fischler has to say, and attack or support the policy. Let us work with real issues not with esoteric issues concerning political point-scoring."@en1
