". – I must say, after listening to you, that it is clear that Ireland is where the resources ought to be put to take care of the waste problem. I also wish that I could have more staff, to be better able to deal with all the cases, but it is in Ireland where action needs to be taken to comply with the directives, including the waste directives. I know from my visit to Ireland what a very important, controversial and difficult issue this is. I understand that it is a big challenge to Irish society and its government to handle the waste problem, and I have of course made my understaffing problem known in the Commission's internal discussions on resources.
