". - It is all very simple. This matter of reform is a matter that is being followed with all the attention it deserves, both by the Bureau and by the Conference of Presidents and, of course, at the end of the day, it will be up to Parliament to decide.
I think I can say that everyone is in favour of reform. There is a very constructive debate in progress, which I have very specifically entrusted to Vice-President Catherine Lalumière, who was very willing to take responsibility for these delicate problems with personnel and reform. Believe me, we can have a great deal of confidence in her. She follows matters with a great deal of attention, as do all members of the Bureau.
Quite obviously, we will watch the results of today's voting very carefully, and will create perfect harmony out of all this. Therefore, I think there is nothing to get worked up about. We can all stay calm. It is obvious that a reform of this size, with all the consequences it also has for personnel, the officials of the European Parliament, whom, believe it or not, we are not leaving out of consideration. All of these should be looked at very carefully and you can count on the Bureau, the Conference of Presidents and then Parliament to do it."@en1
