".
Mr President, with regard to the procedure followed in the approval of my report, Mr Van Velzen has made reference to a possible violation of procedure. I ask the presidency to clarify this point for tomorrow’s debate, because I do not want there to be this ambiguity. If the procedure has been violated, the work in violation of the procedure should be cancelled; if the procedure has been respected, it has been respected. I believe this is the least we owe to the House.
Personally, as rapporteur of the committee with competence in the matter, I have never been consulted by any of the other committees; had it been an ‘enhanced Hughes procedure’ – which it is not – I would have had to be consulted. However it may be – I am not an expert on procedure – and I ask that a check be made as to whether the procedures were violated. Results in violation of the procedures should be cancelled."@en1
