"Madam President, it is our young people who spend most time in our forests, going camping, doing summer courses, taking part in boy scout ventures: out of our entire population they are the ones who have the most contact with the European forests. What is more, our community service volunteers carry out forestry operations precisely in order to restore an ecosystem which is in danger of being lost or, at any rate, spoilt. I am speaking on behalf of a great many young people who are members of and vote for the Radical Party, and I say to them that this is an important area of activity for Europe, and I see this directive, Mrs Redondo Jiménez' report, as supporting young people's endeavours."@en1
