"Mr President, as representative of the Pensioners’ Party in the Group of the European People’s Party and European Democrats, I also voted for the Pirker report, particularly because of Amendment No 13 – which has been adopted – tabled by the rapporteur, which provides for permanent erasure from the central database of the names and electronic fingerprints of those who, having arrived in our States without refugee status as yet, are then recognised as persons who should be permitted to enter the country and are accorded refugee status. This is an example of consideration for the dignity of human beings and their rights, and pensioners, who suffer a great many injustices, know just how important that is."@en1
