"The agenda of the IGC has now been set by the Member States. We now know its general scope, and it is clear that much of the content of this resolution, regardless of its merit or lack of it, has nothing to do with it. While Parliament is fully entitled to be aspirational, it is a mistake for us not to have focused our input into what the IGC is actually going to discuss and decide. I fear that not doing this will damage Parliament's reputation and standing, and will not be as helpful to the IGC as it could be."@en1
