I want to say to Commissioner Nielson that his presentation was music to my ears. Three things, in particular, caught my attention. First of all, he promises openness and modernity; openness is incredibly important, since ECHO is among the highest-profile organisations of the European Union. Secondly, he also promises increased cooperation with the United Nations and the Red Cross; this is also important and has been needed for a long time.
