However, we understand now that the reason the Commission wished to make the statement on Friday was because on Thursday there is a meeting of the Veterinary Committee which will look at this matter, and so the Commission will therefore be in a position to give further information on Friday. We welcome this but we would also like to ask that Members have the possibility of putting down motions for a resolution to close the debate."@en¹
