lpv:spoken text	"Mr President, twenty years ago Europe initiated a momentous decree to bring about a great beacon of hope to millions of Europeans, or so they said. At this Christmas time, instead of hope, joy and happiness, the spirit of European life is being extinguished for those trapped in the consequences of this failed European political project. At this Christmas time, 23 million people will be unemployed across all of Europe. At this Christmas time: 53% of Greek youth unemployment, 49% of young people unemployed in Spain and 48% of young people unemployed in Italy. The prospects for the future of the eurozone are not great either. We see the gaps in investment increasing year on year. Eurozone productivity is declining from 0.6% to 0.2%. The share of world GDP will decline to 14% by 2018 and further. But there are those in this Commission, like Mr Moscovici, who said to me that he did not recognise the Europe of high unemployment and high suicides like those in Greece. There are those in this Parliament, like Mr Theurer, who do not recognise that the euro an element of competitiveness, and how it improves the prospects of European economies. There are those in the Eurogroup like yourself, Mr Dijsselbloem, who are probably enjoying the too many dinners and meetings with those from Goldman Sachs and the bankers who will give you the indication that the Capital Markets Union is beneficial for Europe – it is beneficial for them. We have come to a momentous time for Europe, a time when the British vote to leave the European Union will not only free my nation but will give European nations the impetus to consider a bright, better future and a Christmas that all can enjoy."@en1
