lpv:spoken text	"Mr President, this is a very important proposal, and certainly my colleague Ivo Belet has done tremendous work. I saw him in action, and he has come up with a very sensible solution, which I think will be very helpful to Commissioner Cañete when he makes his report on 15 July. Certainly, we have two targets: one is to reduce emissions in the European Union by 40% by 2030, and the other is to grow industry by 20% of GDP. They are not mutually incompatible – in fact they can both be achieved by sensible proposals. Certainly, with developing technology, and particularly with the proposals here on ETS and the very sensible 2019 starting date, we can make a lot of progress. I am the rapporteur for the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) on Climate Change in Paris, and hopefully this will lead to a successful summit."@en1
