lpv:spoken text	"Mr President, I am struck again, as we sit in this Chamber, by the fact that we entered the Lima discussions with such high hopes and I believe we left them with such low expectations. Success is not final and failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts. So we must leave behind some of those disappointments in Lima and cast our eyes towards what we can finally achieve in Paris. On hearing some of the questions from colleagues, even in my own group, I realise this is going to be a challenge – not just a global challenge but a challenge for Europe itself. We must make sure – and I believe the Commission must adhere to this – that in going forward, when we consider mitigation and adaptation, we provide adequate support for adaptation both within the EU and more broadly."@en1
