The single market has undoubtedly simplified some aspects of communication, information, and access to trade and trade relations between EU citizens. However, there is still a lot to do: as explained in the report, abolishing the remaining obstacles is as necessary as it has ever been, and perhaps more so given the current context of economic crisis.
