Therefore, we need to avoid the fragmentation caused by the protectionist tendencies of certain Member States. The right to freedom of movement, which is one of the fundamental freedoms of the single market, must be guaranteed within the European Union. The lifting of employment restrictions for Romanian and Bulgarian citizens would bring only benefits in the current context of economic crisis, in which worker mobility should be encouraged, not inhibited."@en1
