The amendments introduced by the rapporteur aim at aligning the amended provisions to the changes brought about by ‘Trade Omnibus I’ to the Regulations concerning application of Stabilisation and Association Agreements and Interim Agreements. It is important, however, to make one criticism, since the Treaty of Lisbon lays down that commercial policy is the exclusive competence of the EU. It is clear that there will be different commercial policies adapted to the interests of each country, and history shows that placing the interests of the stronger countries above the interests of the weaker countries, in this field as in other fields, is harmful to the weaker economies, which is what has happened and is happening with Portugal."@en1
