lpv:translated text	"Mr President, as shadow rapporteur for the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament, I would like to congratulate Ms Kratsa for the work she has done and the report she has prepared. Increasing investment in the European Union at a time when we are trying to get out of this abysmal crisis is extremely important. We need common guidelines and we need more concrete ideas, beginning with early investment in youth employment, the greening of our economies and the achievement of the objectives of the European regions and local authorities. In the amendments I have tabled to this report, I speak in favour of the aspect of the strategy which focuses on the creation of new investments, mainly through cohesion policy at local and regional level, because I believe that this is the only way to generate growth and is one of the main sources of financing of the real economy in the European Union. In addition, the European Union needs a new and better industrial policy that will attract private investors from around the world, not only from within the European Union."@en1
