Since his appointment as a member of the Court of Auditors on 10 June 2011, Hans Gustaf Wessberg has been working in Audit Chamber III, which is responsible for auditing External Actions. He also took on responsibility for the performance audit on the effectiveness of EU development aid for food security in sub-Saharan Africa. He also took up the task of carrying out a performance audit on the Commission’s management of external assistance to ‘fragile states’, where state structures lack the political capacity to provide the basic functions necessary for poverty reduction, development and safeguarding the security and human rights of populations."@en1
