"I voted for the motion for a resolution, because I believe that it provides a stimulus to do more to achieve the targets relating strictly to climate change. Rising temperatures caused by pollution are a problem that we have to face and that requires joint action in agreement with the other powers outside Europe. The objectives set for the coming years, in line with European strategies, will only be achievable by moving forwards in cooperation with rapidly growing countries in the rest of the world. For its part, the European Union has often insisted, in deeds as well as words, on its wish to comply with the commitments made on the issue and, if possible, go beyond these by reducing CO
emissions further between now and 2020."@en1
