The Committee on Transport and Tourism has already quite rightly drawn attention to a more expansive body of measures and to the need for greater coordination at all political levels, in order to significantly reduce the number of deaths and serious injuries. I also support the integrated approach and main objectives of the Commission’s policy orientations on road safety 2011-2020, although I agree with the majority of members of the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament who are arguing that these guidelines lack ambition."@en1
