".
This report was a victory for the advocates of Finnish and European agriculture. Owing to our northern location, we in Finland are at a considerable natural disadvantage when it comes to growing crops, and so it is important that there are no changes to the amount of aid that we receive. Parliament’s position is a strong message for the Commission, which is drafting its proposal for the reform of the common agricultural policy. Restrictions on current levels of national aid cannot be acceptable after this."@en1
