lpv:translated text	"− Member States need to promote the image of their agricultural products, both among Community consumers and with the consumers of third countries, particularly with regard to quality and nutritional information, food safety and safe production methods. I agree that, in the absence of programmes put forward by organisations in the agri-food sector, the Member States must be able to draw up programmes and select, by means of an award, an organisation to implement the programme. The Commission’s proposal, inasmuch as it enables the Member States to outline national programmes, will improve the existing legislation.
