lpv:spoken text	"I wish to explain my vote in relation to the report by Francesco Ferrari on the protection of pedestrians and other vulnerable road users. Although I support the worthy objectives of this report, for all of us want to reduce the shocking loss of life and injuries sustained on our roads, I believe the report requires a very quick timetable for implementation and I do not consider that this can be achieved. Some quite radical requirements are being proposed and therefore the burden on industry will be too high if the proposals are introduced too quickly. At a time of recession, we must all remember that our constituents need to protect their jobs and too hasty legislation can often damage this objective."@en1
