Such wines have been produced in my country since the 13th century – for almost 800 years – and I am pleased that the European Parliament has recognised the reality and the fact. In conclusion, I would congratulate the President on her excellent conduct of the proceedings, especially in today’s heated – sometimes over-heated – atmosphere.
