"Mr President, regarding the Langen report on the adoption of the euro in Lithuania, I would like to explain why I abstained on Amendment 3 to Article 7, which calls for reform of the EU Treaty. No doubt the Treaty is in urgent need of reform, but to vote in favour will be to accept the Treaty in principle, which I cannot – and will not – do. I do not want the European Union Treaty to apply in the United Kingdom in any way, shape or form. I want my country to leave the European Union and not to be bound by any EU Treaty, reformed or otherwise. Britain’s accession to the Treaties was in fact an act of treason, something I explain in detail in my little book, ‘Inglorious Revolution’, which you can get from Bretwalda Books Ltd. Britain should withdraw without delay from the European Union, repudiate the Treaty and restore her status as an independent, sovereign, democratic nation."@en1
