lpv:spoken text	"The 2015 Annual Report is purely an informative one, as it gives an overview of the work of the Committee on Petitions. The Committee of Petitions was established by citizens to give them the possibility to petition Parliament and share their concerns over various EU policies and legislation. The report provides statistics on the number of petitions received, dealt with and closed by the Committee, the countries concerned and the matters raised. According to the statistics, in 2015 the European Parliament received 1 431 petitions. I support this report as I believe in the necessity of such an instrument in order to increase transparency in the European Union."@ro2
