"This report gives an overview of the European youth situation, the challenges that youth face in Europe, such as unemployment, social inclusion and poverty, and some recommendations in order to improve the current state of affairs. Moreover, the report identified targeted groups who are more likely to be unemployed and marginalised: young people with poor qualifications, NEETs and those with special needs, disadvantaged and lower socioeconomic backgrounds such as ethnic minorities, refugees, migrants and asylum seekers. The recommendations include investing in accessible quality education, improving cross-sectorial cooperation at all levels and notably between the different EU strategies that affect young people, drafting a new EU youth cooperation framework after 2018, investing in quality and secure jobs and in mobility schemes, especially in Erasmus. I fully support this report, as I believe that the most important solution to the challenges that youth face in the European Union is to invest in education and to involve youth in policymaking that will affect their future."@ro2
